Extreme Fit Traveler

I am leaving TOMORROW for my trip to Japan and Guam...its so crazy! I've had a countdown on my phone for about 116 days, and now it just says 1. I'm excited, nervous, stressed, etc. Even with all of the stress of packing, I've also been thinking about how to squeeze in my fitness while I'm gone.

Since I don't know if I will have access to a gym, I have been thinking of things I can do that don't require weights or machines.  I have also packed my yoga DVD and my resistance tube. Workout DVDs are great to take on vacation as long as you have something to play them on. As far as my resistance tube, I tend to do more back and arm exercises with the resistance band, here are a few ideas:
I also need to be sure to focus on my legs. I plan on going jogging, as long as I don't get lost! Jogging/walking/running is always a good way to be fit while on vacation and sometimes you might discover something new!  I found this awesome/killer sounding leg workout on Pinterest.

Here is another "no gym needed" workout that includes more total body moves. Not sure about the "pop song" warm up, but I guess it would be fun and different for me (I don't really dance).

This will probably be my last post until I return from my trip as I will only have my iPad and not a laptop. But don't worry, I plan on taking lots of pictures on the trip (outfits and sights both). I hope you all have a marvelous 10 days!

  2. Hi Andrea! Thanks for swinging by my blog and commenting last week - I'm finally getting caught up on responding to everyone. It sounds like you get to travel a bunch, and I'm super envious! I love your packing and travel-workout tips. It sounds like you're in Japan and Guam right now, and I hope you have a great time! I went to Japan last year, and we landed a couple hours after the earthquake/tsunami. It was stressful to say the least, and I'd love to go back. Safe travels!

    1. Thanks! My travels aren't always as exciting as my trip to Japan, so don't be too jealous. I bet things were super crazy when you were there. I had a fabulous time and hope I can go back sometime!
