Foreign Travel

I travel just about every week for work, which means I pack every week.  When I'm packing for work travel, it usually takes me about 5-10 minutes because I always pack the following:

1. a pair of black or brown shoes
2. 2-3 pairs of pants depending on how long I will be gone
3. tops/dress shirts/cardigans for each day
4. workout clothes
5. my toiletries travel bag (I have 2 of everything, 1 in my travel bag, 1 in my medicine cabinet)

However, packing for a personal trip is SO much harder for me! I always want to have the right outfit for the right activity, while still being comfortable.  Weather is always difficult to predict, even though I've been checking weather.com everyday.  Another issue I have is that I ALWAYS over pack.

This time I am going on a 10 day trip to Japan. Being gone that long, I need to pack strategically. I am going to be doing a lot of walking, so I need comfortable shoes. Since I don't know exactly what the weather will be like, I also need to pack in layers.

I should be packing right now.  I leave on Thursday morning, and next week is packed full with work.  So far I have a couple of workout outfits (can't go a full 10 days without a workout!), 3 pairs of shoes, and pajamas. I'm not a procrastinator at all ;-)

I am going to try to take pictures of all of my outfits so I can do a few posts. Wish me luck!
