Since I purchased the 15 class pass, I figured I would check out some of the other offerings. So far I have completed Cardio Chickboxing and Body Pump. And I've come to 1 conclusion = I AM NOT good at choreographed group fitness!! Even though I consider myself pretty fit, I have 0 coordination. It actually shocks me that I was a cheerleader in grade school (obviously I wasn't good enough to make it in the high school arena).
Last week I attempted another class called Tabata. Its a high intensity interval training that does 4 sets of exercises 2x though. You do 20 seconds of the exercise, 10 seconds of rest, then onto the next exercise. This was a 55 minute class and I was spent at the end of it! Its the first group class that I have taken where I felt like I got a decent workout! Its also an awesome workout to do if you're traveling because everything can be done with just body weight (we did use some 3lb. or 5lb. weights for a few circuits, but they weren't necessary if you don't have them around).
I still have 12 classes left on my pass. I am already signed up for a TRX class on Friday, I am excited to see what they incorporate into the class!
BONUS! Here's another workout outfit!
Top: Lululemon {Scoop Neck Tank}
Bottoms: Target C9 {similar} - isn't the pop of pink fun?!
Sneakers: Asics {GEL-Phoenix}
*be sure to tie your shoes!*
What do you think of group fitness classes? Is anyone as un-coordinated as I am?!
I bet I am as uncoordinated as you are :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL, I don't know. It could be a toss up! You can play basketball, I can't even do that!
DeleteYou look phenomenal in your workout gear! I actually get pretty intimidated in group fitness classes- that is why I stick to the home gym with Tony Horton, Jillian Michaels or Shaun T. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks girl! If you can do the home gym stuff on that level, I'm sure you would rock out a group fitness class. But they can be intimidating!
