Airport Style - Business Casual Edition

Earlier this week I was in Las Vegas for work. We are required to dress business casual on the plane, but I also wanted to be comfortable and have layers. Planes are always cold to me (I seriously pack a pair of socks to wear thru security then to wear on the plane to keep my little piggys warm!) but I knew the Vegas heat would be icky.

I opted for a sleeveless top, sweater, crop pants and leopard flats. I didn't realize it until now, but the whole outfit is from Banana Republic! That is not something that normally happens to me.

I love the detail on this top. (Please ignore the sunburns!)

My new leopard flats...do they make my feet look fat?!

Top: {Banana Republic} (on sale!)
Sweater: Banana Republic {similar}
Pants: Banana Republic {similar, simliar}
Shoes: {Me Too via Nordstrom} (on sale!)

What do you usually wear when traveling via plane?

  3. Super cute! I run into that problem often! Ballet flats are definitely my go to shoe!! Dark skinny jeans, and sweaters, cardigans, or blazers are a must!

  5. Beautiful detail on that top! Is it meant to look like feathers? Even if not, pretty outfit and looks the way an airport outfit should.. stylish and comfortable!

    1. Thanks Sky! If I'm traveling for fun, I'm usually more casual (jeans and a top or a maxi dress).

  8. AJ - that top is gorgeous! We are the same traveling soul, I swear. I also take socks and as soon as I'm seated the shoes come off and socks/a comfy zip up yoga top go on. That's interesting that you were required to dress up for the flight. Guess the company didn't want a bunch of people rocking Juicy Couture sweatpants through security. ;) I'm all for being comfy on flights, but some of the stuff I see at airports kills me! You look fabulous, however, and I hope you have a great weekend.

    1. Thanks doll! I'm glad I'm not the only one that kicks off my shoes and rocks the comfy socks on a plane! But my toes get SO cold when I'm so high up!

  9. You have great airport style! I seriously must rethink mine...yoga pants and a t-shirt. I always regret it when I see everyone else dressed nicely lol

    1. Thanks! I agree, when I'm "comfy" for non-work travel, I always wish I were more stylish at the airport. But sometimes comfort wins.

    1. Mixing business and pleasure in Vegas can be difficult, but thankfully I think I did a good job ;-)
