Rugby Maxi + An Award!

This dress from Rugby has an interesting story on how it came into my closet. Two years ago I was visit my GBF (gay best friend) in Dallas and we decided to go shopping. I had never heard of Rugby before, but he knew a few people that worked there so we decided to go in. The sales associate proceded to gush over how he loved my body and wanted to play dress up with me. When you have someone that wants to be your stylist for the day, you don't say no! So I proceeded to try on every dress in the store.

I liked this maxi, but couldn't figure out where I would wear it (I had never bought a maxi dress), and also couldn't get past the hefty price tag. My GBF convinced me to buy it and I've been in love with it every since. Its very comfortable and can be dressed up or down. I've worn it often with wedge heels, but last night decided to wear it with flats (I feel like it may have shrunk in the dryer?!).

Skylette over on Sequins & Stilettos has an amazing personal style blog that I am obsessed with!  I was sitting in my hotel room last week doing my nightly blog checks and almost fell out of my chair when I got to the bottom of Skylette's post. She had been awarded the "Laine Blogger Award" by on of her fellow bloggers and answered the provided questions. THEN, she nominated a few other bloggers for the award. I WAS ONE OF THEM! I literally squeaked out loud "THAT'S ME!" Thankfully no one was around so I didn't look so dumb, but I was SO excited. Thanks Skylette!!

Here are the questions for the award:

1.  What is your current beauty obsession?
Well, I have 2. My number 1 is Vaseline. Its seriously a miracle worker. I always have some in my makeup bag. I use it on my lips all the time and cannot go to bed without putting it on. Its the best lip balm! Also, I put it on my feet then put socks on when I need to soften them up. (20 beauty uses for Vaseline)

My second is my Tarte "Gifted" mascara. Its the first non-drug store makeup product I have ever purchased and its GREAT! My eyes are sensitive so I wanted to be sure I purchased something that was not going to irritate them. Also, I wanted my eye lashes to look longer. This product does it all!

2.  What is the one beauty item you wish you owned?
Again, I have 2 answers (I'm really not that complicated, I promise!) Number 1 is the Urban Decay Naked palette. Lots of bloggers talk about this, and it looks awesome. Only problem is that I have no idea how to properly apply eyeshadow (and its a tad pricey for me)!
Number 2 is Nars Orgasm - The Multiple. I've never tried this but it seems like a color that works on everyone. Plus I like the idea of a creamy blush vs. a powder.

3.  What color nail polish are you wearing right now?
I just applied Sally Hansen Salon Effects that I bought at Target on clearance for $2.55! They are regularly $8.50, so I am quite proud of that purchase. Basically its like a nail polish sticker.  They are a bit of a pain to put on, but I think the green gingham is fun!

SO, now I get to nominate a few others! Here's who I choose:

Can't wait to see what you ladies have to share!
