A few days ago I was inspired to make my own stir-fry! I make stir-fry a lot with brown rice, chicken, and some frozen veggies (since I'm on the road a lot, frozen veggies work best for me). However I wanted to mix it up and have fresh veggies and steak this time!
I went to Whole Foods and picked up some grass-fed skirt steak, a green pepper and a red pepper (both organic). I also grabbed some soy ginger sauce.
I made a cup of brown rice, but I spread that into 3 to 4 servings to cut down on the carbs. Then I grilled up the steak. In a wok-like pot, I sautéed the sliced peppers with some frozen broccoli. Here's the finished product!
I also doctored up the soy ginger sauce a bit. I mixed the sauce with sriracha, and MAN it was awesome!! Fresh, healthy dinner :-)
Do you ever mix your own sauces?
