Protein Powder Suggestions?

I got into protein powder a few months into working out with my trainer. In the beginning, I was able to buy the Protein Max powder from her and everything was fine. Then she stopped selling it, but said it was available at GNC. I purchased one container at GNC, but was thrown off because the container was blue instead of purple like my previous powder. GNC ensured me that it was the same formula, so I went with it. It was basically the same so I was fine.

I don't use this protein every day, so a large container lasts me a while. The last time I went in to buy protein, the packaging changed again. Yet again, GNC said that the formula did not change, so I believed them. However, the taste and consistency were definitely different this time.

I know I could have returned it to the store, but I didn't want to deal with all of that. But now I'm running low and need to find a new formula. I use vanilla soy protein when I make smoothies, but this protein is what I drink for a quick snack or after a workout sometimes. I usually throw it in a blender bottle with ice and water.  I need something that is high in protein, lower in cals, and doesn't taste like chalk (chocolate milkshake taste is optimal!). I'm looking to stay lean and fit!

PLEASE tell me you guys have some suggestions for some yummy, healthy protein powder?!

  1. I am sorry....I have no tips....but I will say the Special K Strawberry Protein shakes and the double chocolate protein bars are both the BOMB! Have one or the other every day.

  2. I use the best protein powder ever! It's super healthy - made of plant protein, gives you all of your amino acids, and has a high protein:sugar ratio - and delicious! I'm all about the chocolate milkshake taste. I also travel a lot and it comes in a resealable bag which is convenient for packing in a suitcase. Then I can stay healthy when traveling by not having to change my entire digestive system whenever I go abroad. You can read more about it on my lifestyle blog :) http://bit.ly/Pt2y2s Feel free to contact me if you want to know more!

    1. Thanx for your comment, but i'm just telling you, protein powders are beneficial. They provide your body with protein that the food you eat may not be providing. healthgenie provides lots of health care & nutrition products at huge discount. you must take some proteins made buy vegetables.
