Training Tuesday - Honesty

I was recently contacted by BeachBody to write about 3 new DVD workouts that they have. I wrote the first post last week and planned on sharing the other 2 posts over the next 2 "Training Tuesday" posts. A few people commented/emailed that they wanted to know about my progress and my thoughts after I tried it. However, BeachBody says that its against their policy to provide sample DVDs.

I started this blog as a journey and I have decided that being honest is the best policy. Since I cannot try the DVDs, I don't think its fair to promote them to you guys. So, I will not be posting about the other 2 workouts. If I do try something new, I want to pass it along because I think that fitness is important and different types of workouts appeal to different people.

I hope I have not offended anyone at BeachBody, but this is my personal policy. And I appreciate you guys understanding.

PS...With Thanksgiving 2 days away, be SURE to fit in your workouts this week! Its inevitable that you are going to consume A LOT of food on Thursday, or whenever you celebrate, so burning those calories is important. I am working out with my trainer (and my sis!) tomorrow, running a 10k Thursday morning, then doing a church workout on Friday morning (more on that next week!).

In an effort to NOT stuff my face on Thanksgiving, here are a few tips to staying on course:
  • Eat a good, healthy breakfast that includes protein and healthy carbs. I'm thinking of maybe something like my Tough Mudder Breakfast.
  • Drink lots of water throughout the day.
  • If there are appetizers, go for the veggies.
  • Limit your alcohol intake.
  • EAT SLOWLY. (this is my downfall!)

  1. Is BeachBody the maker of HipHop Abs? Well I tried their first calorie burner cardio program the other day! It was fun but it did not make me sweat a lot!:(
    Have a happy Thanksgiving, dear!

  2. Oh, that is kind of lousy to ask for a review without sending you something to review... Thanks for your honesty though!
