Paisley Awkward and Awesome

I have my summer and winter clothes separated into different closets. I went to put a dress in the winter closet and found 3 summer shirts that I haven't worn all year! Talk about shopping in your own closet, I was so excited!  When I spotted this top, I knew I had to wear it ASAP.

I love the ruffles and the print! Since the neckline is so high, I usually wear some simple hoop earrings with it.

Now comes the awkward and awesome:

Awkward: I put on this shirt and immediately realized that the arms were SUPER tight. Thankfully the  sleeves have buttons, so I attempted to unbutton them as I was still wearing the shirt. Apparently I'm not flexible nor coordinated enough to do this with the shirt on. I unbuttoned the front of the shirt and tried to take it off, but my arms got stuck in the sleeves! I'm standing in my bathroom, half laughing/half frustrated that I am literally stuck in my shirt!

Awesome: This proves that my biceps and triceps have grown! It made me smile knowing that I have made progress and I'm not the "skinny fat" girl anymore...I'm the FIT girl! :-)

Shirt: Pink Tartan from Nordstrom Rack (old)
Jeans: (thrifted)
Shoes: {Target}

    1. Thanks Tara! I'm obsessed with it, and even got a compliment from a JCrew worker when I wore it in there!

  2. Love finding new things to wear that haven't been worn in a while!

    Okay- so I have a question for you. I've been toning up my arms but still have a little jiggle- what's the best way to tone up/ lose inches and not gain bulk?

    1. Good question, Skylette! Honestly, many women are scared of using free weights because they think they will bulk up, but it helps tone the muscle and you won't get huge. I can email you a few ideas if you would like!
